What are collections?

A collection is a series of elements copyed to the clipboard.

E.g. you want to copy several words or textes from a web page to a word document:

  • Select and copy the 1st word in the web page and copy it
    Select and copy the 2nd word and copy
    continue to copy all words/texts
    Now switch to word and paste all copied items in word at once, e.g. by pressing the shortcut Windows + Alt +F4, or Call Clipboard Master (e.g. with 'Windows' + 'V'), press Ctrl + A to select the collection and press 'Return'


Start a collection

Automatically:
Clipboard Master starts a collection automatically when you copy items with in 3 seconds between each. (In the Settings you can change that behaviour).
The items of the collection  will be shown in a Clipboard Master window. You can add further items by copying to the Windows clipboard, or start pasting at any time.
To stop the collection press 'Esc'

Start a collection manually:
a) Press 'Alt + Windows () + F2'
or
b) via the Tray icons context menu.
 

Paste a collection

Paste item by item:

Just press 'Ins' to paste the selected item. The next item will be seletced automatically.
To paste an item which is not selected, eithe rclick on it or press 'Windows () + V', then use the cursor keys to select and press enter

Paste all items at once:

  • Press 'Windows () + V', then 'Ctrl +A' to select all and the press Enter to paste all with a new line after each element
  • To paste all items with tab, comma or semicolon as separator press 'Windows () + V' and then the appropriate key, e.g. tab, comma or semicolon.
  • To paste all items with another characters separated, use the context menu.
  • In the quick menu click 'Paste collection' to paste all items
